Paws provides financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford the cost to spay or neuter (fix).

Any person living in the greater Chico area who is financially unable to pay for the cost of spaying or neutering their dog or cat. You MUST have a Chico address.

Paws of Chico Spay & Neuter Program assists in paying for the cost of spaying or neutering male and female dogs and cats. The actual amount of your co-pay will depend on your individual financial situation. This will be determined after your application is received and discussed with you by a Paws volunteer. The amount of your co-pay will be decided at that time.

The copayment is in cash for the S/N of your pet is paid at the same time that you pick up your voucher. This occurs before the S/N surgery date.

You will be contacted by a Paws volunteer within a week of mailing your application.
